4th of July!!

Hey babes!! I hope you have all been having the time of your lives this summer! 🙂 I certainly have been!! 🙂 This 4th of July was so incredibly fun! I’ve always been a nut about this time of year! I grew up in hot little town, so stripping down to a bikini from school clothes or church clothes to run around outside and backflip into the pool was my jam! 😉 I seem to have not changed very much haha 🙂

On Friday night, my boyfriend and I went with his fam to the Stadium of Fire–which was so awesome! Hunter Hayes somehow singing just to me, Brian Reagan making me laugh my head off, and a firework show that burned inside me like a bass drum–it was awesome! 🙂 Also, I saw Amber Fillerup Clark–and hugged her–duh 😉 She’s such a doll!

We pooled and tanned and barbequed and fireworked like crazy! I always buy like 500 packs of sparklers because I am obsessed, and I’m training my younger siblings to be obsessed with fireworks too 😉 (I’m a very good big sister) haha! 😉

On the actual 4th (because this is a days-long celebration!) my boyfriend and I went to Park City. We loaded up on ice cream, sprawled out on a blanket, and cuddled together to watch fireworks. 🙂 It was magic!

Much more fun to come as summer spreads its long legs here in Utah, USA. 🙂 🙂

Memorial Weekend at the Lake

Hello my good-lookin’ sweetheart friends!! I hope you all had the time of your lives over the holiday weekend! 🙂 I definitely did!! 🙂 I spent the weekend lakeing 😉 haha 😉

I have loved lakes ever since I was a little kiddo! My family had a houseboat at Lake Powell, wave-runners, a speed boat, the whole nine-yards, and we would spend days out on the lakes in UT and AZ just having a blast. And I still love lakes soooo much!!

I took the kayak out and thought I could get some sun if I laid down on it for a minute (my arms were so burned out!!) but–DUH–Memorial Weekend drew so many people to the lake that I totally crashed into this parked boat! Haha!! The family was so nice though and joked with me as I rowed away embarrassed. 🙂 We took out the boat & wave runners, played in the sand, and ate our weight in fruit! 😉 Also, I am getting better and better at wake surfing which I am totally proud of!! 😉

And guys–the funniest thing–I just got a Go Pro (AHHH!!) so I totally took 500 million action shots, but I suck so bad that they all turned out so super super far away (I’m a teeny speck in all of them! haha!). So I need to watch some tutorials on that!! (I’d love advice on Go Pros if you’ve got it!!) It was such a fun weekend, though, and I can’t wait to do it again!! 😉

Let me know what you did over the break!! I always love hearing about the fun things you do!! Plus, it gives me ideas!! 😉

8 things I always get at the grocery store

A bunch of you have asked me what kinds of things I eat. First of all, I eat out A LOT! (I seriously need to hire a chef–I LOVE food made for me! 😉 ) I will make of list of those places I go, and the healthy options there in a later post. 🙂

But in this post, I thought I’d list the 8 things I always get at the grocery store. 🙂

1-) YOGURT I love the Chobani brand because it has so much protein in it! Rustin and I always put fruit and granola in our yogurt. Parfaits–yummy!! 🙂

2-) ROTISSERIE CHICKEN I have this thing about cooking chicken–it grosses me out, so I have to have it already cooked. Haha!

3-) SNAP PEAS & CHERRY TOMATOES I have to have little veggies to snack on. I’m like a little kid at church–if it’s not a Ziploc of veggies, it’s a Ziploc of Lucky Charms. 😉

4-) EGGS I love to make either scrambled eggs with cheese and milk, or omelets with green peppers and ham! (Gosh, I’m getting hungry writing this!) 😉

5-) CEREAL My pantry is ALWAYS stocked with cereal! It’s just so easy!! My favorite kinds are Honey Bunches of Oats, Life, and Cinnamon Chex.

6-) APPLESAUCE, PINEAPPLE ORANGE JUICE, FRUIT, ETC. I’m such a fan of these carby treats! 😉 I love fruit any which way it comes. Rustin knows when we get dessert that I always want the fruity kind of whatever it is. 😉

7-) WATERBOTTLES My idea of a “cold one” is an icy fresh bottle of Arrowhead that was in the freezer for just the right amount of time haha! 😉 HEAVENLY!

😎 ASPARAGUS On a singles’ trip to Lake Powell a couple years ago I discovered the greatest thing ever: baked asparagus covered in olive oil and garlic salt. It’s Rustin’s favorite thing that I make–haha! Maybe I should cook more! But it really is awesome! 🙂

So there you have it! My 8 things I always buy at the grocery store! As you can tell, I’m still getting the hang of domesticity. Haha 😉 I hope you all are having a great day! 🙂

Dancing Queen

I have danced my whole life: ballet, hip hop, cheer-leading, Latin, etc. I love it all! 🙂 When I was a little girl, I used to live in leotards and ballet slippers! I was in so many dance classes that I practically lived at the studio. I always seemed to be the littlest/youngest one in my classes, and I remember when I was eight or nine, jumping up on the older boys, wrapping my legs around their waist and doing sit-ups from their toes to their nose during down time! Haha! I thought I was pretty cool! 🙂

In high school, I was so pumped to be a cheerleader that I hung up my leotards and tights for the little skirts and pom-poms! 🙂 It was so much fun! I was a flyer (that’s the girl they throw up in the air), and I had the time of my life cheering on our team! At cheer camp there’s this thing called the “Big Banana” and you win it by being the most spirited squad there. Well, we all dressed up in matching superman boys’ briefs, white tanks, hero capes, pigtails, and knee high socks, and we cheered like there was no mañana. And you better believe we always got that “Big Banana!” 🙂

In college, I’ve done everything from the Latin dance team to modern & jazz classes to hip-hop club! 🙂 I remember winning the gold medal in the Rumba competition, and feeling like Julianne Hough! 🙂 I’ll never stop dancing! It’s in my bones!! 😉

These super awesome tights I’m wearing are all from Ceduire! 🙂 The pattern goes all the way up to the band–so you can wear them with destroyed denim too! 🙂 They are really high quality, and I’m in absolute love! They have so many patterns and styles to choose from too, so check them out!

Love you all! 🙂

Poolside Weekend

Hello loves! 🙂 I hope you all have had a great weekend! I got to spend the majority of mine poolside, and it was all I ever wanted! 😉 It was funny, though, about the time I remembered that I needed to put on sunscreen, some clouds rolled in. Haha OF. COURSE. At least I got some good sun in before then! 🙂

Also, I have to tell you guys. Late last night, while I was sitting on the couch in my PJs, just eating some sugar snap peas, and watching the newest episode of Designated Survivor with my boyfriend, I noticed that he was staring at me and smiling. I looked over. “What?!” I asked him, laughing. (I immediately was thinking I must have been leaning forward toward the TV and looked pretty funny–I do that when I’m watching something intense haha 🙂 ) But it wasn’t that, he just smiled bigger and said: “I just love you so much.” 🙂 🙂 He’s so sweet to me!

I have rounded up the links for my attire below. (The gold Midori Linea necklace is soooo fun to dress up or down! And the exact kimono and hat were sold out, but I found similar styles with the same brands. 🙂 )

7 MUST-HAVES to Carry in Your Purse

Hello Loves! Purses are sometimes such a hassle. And sometimes my purse ends up on my boyfriend’s arm hidden under my jacket he is also carrying! haha 😉 But every girl knows that the little stylish treasure chest we swing over our shoulders can be a lifesaver! 🙂

I’ve compiled a list of 7 things you absolutely MUST have in your purse at all times! 🙂

#1: Chapstick/lip gloss. If I forget this little guy, I end up licking or biting my lips all day!

#2: Wallet. Besides the DL, cash, and credit cards, your wallet carries that $10 off at Victoria’s Secret and that punch card for Roxberry’s. You don’t want to be out-and-about and think “DANGIT!! Why didn’t I bring that?!”

#3: Phone. I am naked without this little block of magic, and I’m sure you are too. It’s funny–if ever I forget my phone, I immediately worry that my car is going to break down, I’m going to get lost or get kidnapped haha!

#4: Sunnies. I sure do love the sun, but there’s that certain time of day when the sun is just above the dash and just below the visor in your car, and without sunglasses, you’re one blinding car away from a crash. Plus, they cute up your look (especially when you checked out that new mascara at the store that clumps like mud!).

#5: Lotion. I’m a hand washer. I wash them so often it’s not even funny. Lotion is a must!

#6: Gum/mints. Do I even need to explain??? 😉

#7: Phone charger. Just do it. Carry one wherever you go. Your stress levels will go down, I promise! haha 🙂

Let me know if a MUST-HAVE you carry in your purse did not make the list! 🙂

If you’re a bird, I’m a bird: CRAZY GIRLFRIEND STUFF

“The only normal people are the ones you don’t know very well.” (Alfred Adler) Right on the money, Al! So what kinds of crazy things do I put my boy toy through? Haha 🙂 🙂 Here we go!!

CRAZY GIRLFRIEND THING #1: I can always find fantastic new ways to get him to rub me. 😉 “Baby, I cut up those strawberries and crushed granola over yogurt just the way you like it–could you maybe rub my shoulders for a minute or two?” “Love, I will let you pick out the dessert tonight if you could pretty please rub my back for a little bit.” “So I have a great plan: let’s watch the game and you can rub me, because I know how much you love basketball and me. Two birds.” 😉

CRAZY GIRLFRIEND THING #2: I disregard his masculinity and embarrass him by saying how cute he is in front of other people. “Oh, honey, you are such a babe! Look at that face! Look at those biceps!” Haha 😉 He gets the cutest smile, but his eyes are screaming at me to shut up because he’s so embarrassed. But I do it anyway. 🙂

CRAZY GIRLFRIEND THING #3: I can sneakily ALWAYS decide what our agenda is. He’ll ask me what we should do (dinner and movie, hike and smoothies, racecars and shopping, etc.) and I’ll say something like “I don’t care, love, whatever you want.” Then he’ll make some suggestions: bowling (“Nah”, I say), baseball game, (“No”), biking (“Not feeling it”). And then I’ll say something like: “How about we go to Park City?” And he’ll say: “Perfect! Let’s do it!” Haha!! 🙂 EVERY TIME.

There’re plenty more crazy girlfriend things I do, but these are the ones that come to mind. Let me know what kind of crazy girlfriend or boyfriend things you do! 🙂

Also, this super fun, beautiful dress is now hanging in my closet like a queen. 😉 I love how flowy and light it is! Plus, the print is so cute and unique!! I have attached the link for this Honey Lake Boutique Dress so you guys can feel its magic too! 🙂 Use code CHANI20 for 20% off!! 🙂
